我們老師問我說，是不是腳白白的狗在台灣就會被殺掉？
我整個嚇到，想說這是什麼問題？
結果老師說，有個學姊畢業以後到台灣去教英文，
在那救了兩隻流浪狗，要把她們送到我們學校來，
因為她們就是白腳底的狗，差點被殺掉。
狗狗平安順利抵達，去看的時候兩隻都睡死了，
坐飛機想必很恐怖吧。
希望她們可以會有一個溫暖的家。
我說：牠們不是白腳底的狗啊，這就是台灣隨處可見的流浪狗。
老師：是這樣喔，我以為腳白白的就是了嘛。
我：並不是...
我一開始還以為她們兩個是母女，想不到只是長得像而已。
這是Milo。
八個禮拜大。
她還有一本小護照，上面的性別還寫錯，
人家明明就是小女生。
這是Scraps。
大約一歲。
很怕人，第一次去看她的時候還齔牙裂嘴的，
不過隔天就好了，會搖尾巴要妳帶她出去。
很乖很乖，乖到不能再乖。
之前應該是混台中的吧，
因為她們都有台中市政府的狗牌。
"護照"的內容。
牠們的預防針檢查什麼的，都是在中興大學。
老實說看到那些資料表小護照有種很複雜的感覺。
其實真的要做我們也是可以做到很齊全很完善，
可是為什麼，為什麼送她們倆出來的是個老外呢？
幹嘛偷照人家尿尿啦？！
Milo很乖，會在報紙上尿尿跟大便，
第一天老師想要幫她檢查尿液，
一直抱她出去想讓她尿尿，還問我尿尿怎麼講。
結果後來她喝了幾口水之後就自己跑去尿在報紙上了。
害我連忙衝去拿針筒把尿吸起來。
檢查結果：尿道細菌感染。
所以她要開始吃藥了。

好像有滿多人想要領養Milo，
Scrap跟Milo感情很好，看不到對方都會很不安。
在台灣的時候Milo就是一直黏著Scrap，
學姊才會一次送兩隻過來。
奇怪那Milo自己的媽媽呢？

Made In Taiwan
A special bulletin to all Seneca VTE Students
We have special guests arriving late this evening. They have traveled a very
long way to be here. Dr. Emmans, Peggy Casey, myself (Julie Jones) and a past
Seneca Grad Laura Keimele have found it in our hearts to rescue a dog from
Taiwan.
History:
Laura is a past grad from Seneca who has been teaching in a small community
in Taiwan for several months.
A puppy slept outside of the school and was there every single day, awaiting
Laura's presence and the puppy would chase Laura's scooter when she left for
home.
Laura began feeding the dog and hence the name Scraps came to be.
Scraps became a friend to many, however, being a street dog was not highly
regarded by all in the same way.
Eventually it came to the point were Scraps days were numbered and her
presence was regarded as a nuisance and it was ordered that she be disposed
of.
In September I among many others received an urgent plea from Laura to rescue
Scraps.
Dr. Emmans and Peggy both agreed that Seneca could receive Scraps and we
would hopefully adopt her out.
Many emails, Vet checks, spaying, vaccinations, quarantine, papers, documents
needed to be arranged, (all Laura's work and $$$) note: Laura has spent close
to 3 thousand dollars to rescue Scraps.
More recently, Scraps befriended a puppy and the two are inseparable. Laura
was quickly able to organize the export of two dogs and they are traveling
together.
Their flight began last night at approx. 8pm I got the call that they are in
the air. Peggy and myself are picking them up at the airport at 10:00pm this
evening.
Final note:
Scraps and Milo are going to be celebrities here at Seneca, and they will be
loved and treated with the same kindness that all our animals receive. We
hope they will settle in their new environment and find a loving home for
them, just like the rest.
